In the years that have followed the lifting of lockdown rules, we have seen many companies try to return to make a return the office. Some have found the a way to allow their employees the flexibility to work from home on some days, and in the workplace on others. Others have enforced a complete return to work altogether.
We have instead embraced this allowing a full work from home schedule permanently. By fully committing to this change, we no longer even need an office, and his employees of software developers and UI/UX designers are allowed the flexibility of working from home with little to no disruption in productivity.
Besides no longer needing to pay for an office lease, the move has opened up the talent pool for us as Birmingham based app developers. What was previously a company of local Midlands developers is now unrestricted and employs skilled workers from across the country. From Cheshire to London, the our team has taken on the best they can find across the country, and even have a developer based in Europe.
Andrew said: “We have found that remote working has proven that trust and flexibility lead to better results. By committing to fully work from home, we’ve built a more productive team and widened our access to top talent across the UK.”
The nature of the software development industry has advanced to the point where there is little to no disadvantage to this work model for the end product. Dedicated servers and cloud computing tools allows the team to work identically to how they would in an office, meaning there is no detrimental affect passed onto the end product.
